As matcha grew in popularity across London, it became easy to find drinks, but much harder to find desserts that truly focused on matcha. That gap sparked the idea.
What followed were months of testing, refining, and experimenting with more than ten different matcha desserts. In the end, only four stood out - becoming the signature creations now used for cafés and The Matchaholic dessert box.
It all started at a small food market in West London. From there, the desserts found their way into select cafés - and are now available to order online.
Brand Story
Founded by a 27-year-old pastry chef, with a background in culinary arts and experience working in professional kitchens.
During that time, a growing personal obsession with matcha began to take shape into something more - the idea of creating a brand dedicated entirely to matcha desserts. That idea eventually became The Matchaholic - artisanal, handmade matcha desserts, created for an indulgent experience, for those who share the passion for matcha.
